There is a General Code of Good Practice that is available for all industries to use. This Code provides the guidelines that are needed in order for a company to comply with legislation. In addition, these Codes inform companies on what qualifies as complying with the legislation and what does not. Also, it informs under which circumstances exceptions can be made.
With the above in mind, it becomes evident that these Codes can be difficult to understand. This is when the ECS Group becomes useful to any company as we help them understand the codes and how to use them.
The Sector Codes are those that have been developed for a specific industry. These Codes are used instead of the General Codes of Good Practice. The Sector Codes overrule the general codes when used by a certain industry. The Sector Codes have been developed by the industry because these industries can function better by adjusting the general codes to suit the industry in particular.
